The I AM Community
In addition to all the benefits you personally will enjoy when you join, I believe this new way of relating to money and to one another that you'll learn in our community puts us more in alignment with the future our world is evolving into. The Earth is going through massive changes, as we move toward 2012 and beyond, and I want to be an active participant in those changes without having to worry about my income while I'm doing it. How about you?
Before I give you the details of The I AM Community - how it works and what it can do for you - let me tell you something about me, so you know who's "talking" to you. I'll also relate some of the history of this group I have created.
I am a single Mom who owns my own home-based business - a business of helping people. I consider myself to be a Lightworker, someone who serves Spirit and our collective evolution. If you explore my websites (theloveandlight.net and empower-your-team.com) you’ll learn something about my work. I’ve helped a lot of people. Over the years I’ve done healing, coaching, consulting, teaching, hand-holding, motivating, inspiring, sharing, just being there - and probably a bunch of other things I can’t even recall.
I love my work! And while it has given me countless rewards of all kinds, it has not yet produced monetary wealth. In fact I’m currently working on paying off a debt of close to $40,000, trying to put my daughter through college, and - like just about everyone else on the planet - wondering (and sometimes worrying) about what the next few years of economic, social and environmental upheaval are going to mean for me and our species as a whole.
Yes, I’m excited about the new world being born - as some of you reading this may have heard me say many times, but I’m also a realist. I know that birth labor can be painful and people around the globe are feeling those pains. And I still have to find a way to take care of my family's basic survival needs - and have a little fun once in a while - no matter what happens.
I'm also a fan of simplicity and sustainability. I'd like to make my life simpler, not more complicated, and know that's one way I can help the mother of us all - Earth. The video below shows one example of a life I'd be quite happy with.
So, I was looking for a way to improve my financial picture in alignment with MY vision, a way to live my purpose without having to worry about getting paid, and a means to help all of us transition into a new kind of economy in which all are abundantly cared for.
Then a friend introduced me to cash gifting, which was the beginning of my journey to create The I AM Community, whose main purpose is to help our members change (heal) our relationship to money individually and collectively and help YOU receive abundance of all kinds and in many ways. You can read all about what we're doing to accomplish this in the section entitled "Enter The I AM Community" below.
First, though, let's talk about money and its flow, as a way to understand the concept of gifting. This requires us to dispel a myth: that money has value,
The only thing with any REAL value is human energy. Money is just the way we measure that energy. So the ultimate goal of any work around abundance is to increase your energy, your capacity to hold and utilize it, and your sense of connection to the Source of those things as a means to create the life you choose and attract whatever resources you need to do that.
Money stands for or symbolizes a variety of things - in fact everything that we value: security, freedom, love, appreciation, control and power, to name the most common. We all have beliefs about all of the things on that list. And you may be holding beliefs that limit your ability to have a healthy flow of money into and out of your life. If any of the things on the list represents an area of challenge for you, you'll tend to have problems with money (usually attracting or keeping enough of it) and with whatever else symbolizes abundance for you - like relationships, a great career, good health, etc..
Most people DO have stormy relationships with one or more of the areas above because they are so fundamental to how we see ourselves as people, and the beliefs about them are imprinted in us at a very young age. This means that you need to heal those aspects of yourSELF before you'll start to see the abundance you desire.
Money has also symbolized materialism (eliminating Spirit from our lives) and even evil to some people. This is due to the collective beliefs we absorb from our society and its institutions. These, too, can be changed so we can harness the power of money for good, but only if we as individuals examine them, heal the duality consciousness they arise from, and choose something different.
Then there's our concept of "how things SHOULD work" - how money should be transferred from person to person - based on the type of economy we've grown up with. There are actually two ways to receive money:
1. Work for it.
2. Receive it as a gift. (Some people would say there's a third way, which is to find it, but I'd call that a gift from the universe.)
Most people are using method number 1, and have never even considered number 2 (except in terms of winning the lottery, which has a miniscule chance of happening for any individual). Number 1, earning money from work, is fine as far as it goes. But it does tend to limit our capacity to receive, based as it is on a very 3-dimensional understanding of reality. In other words it leaves out the operation of the Divine in our lives.
It also contributes to our tendency to forget that energy flows TWO ways and takes lots of forms. It's not just about how can we GET more. When we GIVE freely, without focusing on gain or reward, we RECEIVE - or benefit from REGIVING - naturally, by the universal Law of Balance (as long as we believe we deserve to and allow ourselvs to receive this effect rather than blocking its flow). As Walter Ruseell stated in The Message of the Divine Iliad, "This universe is founded upon love as manifested in the giving of one opposite to the other for regiving." This process is repeated over and over, and, when in balance, it perpetually provides for the needs of all life in the universe. And, when we're connected to the Divine, we have access to an unlimited supply of energy from which to create and give. So why not express that directly with cash once in a while, as opposed to having to use the intermediary of products and services?
Because of these Truths, if someone were to ask me, What's the RIGHT way to get money?, I'd have to say there IS NO right or wrong way - it's whatever feels right, ethical and good to you. And what feels the best to ME is whatever allows me to focus on the work I do best - my unique contribution to the world - and be free to offer it to whomever would benefit from and like to have it, without the fear of not being provided for. If someone asked me, How do YOU PREFER to receive money?, I'd say BOTH ways! I love when my work is valued and produces a direct exchange, AND I love gifts - both giving and receiving them.
I'd also be perfectly happy if money disappeared altogether, and we freely gave our service and enjoyed the bounty of the universe without having to own any of it. But that's getting a few steps ahead of ourselves. Let's get back to what we can do TODAY to begin to shift both our personal relationship to money and the larger economic context.
Here are the 5 heart-based reasons why I decided at that time (when my friend invited me) to get involved in cash gifting.
1. I LOVE to give. I once taught a money game at a workshop. In the game everyone walks around the room twice, the first time taking money from the hand of every person they meet (and trying to end up with the most money), the second time GIVING money to each person they meet (and trying to end up with the least). Which version do you think my students enjoyed more? You guessed it, the second. The joy and love was palpable. And, ironically enough, the results ended up the same in terms of the money exchanged. It seems, too, that giving puts us naturally into a state of Gratitude, and that, by the Law of Attraction, allows us to RECEIVE more.
2. I love not HAVING to charge for my help. Don’t get me wrong. My help is valuable, and I have charged for it for years - sometimes big bucks. But if someone needs my help and is not able to pay me at that moment I’ve always had a hard time denying them (and usually don’t) even though it means I have a harder time paying my bills that month. Exchanges can happen in many ways - sometimes through barter, sometimes through paying it forward or with a referral, sometimes just by knowing that the person I help can now make their contribution to the world, and of course there’s ALWAYS an exchange of love. I like to allow that flow of energy to take place naturally and not have to force it by putting a price tag on my services. Gifting helps me do that.
3. I love being able to help other stay-at-home Moms (and Moms and Dads who would like to stay at home with their kids but haven't been able to up to now or those who are being forced to through layoffs) as well as the other helpers, healers, lightworkers, change agents and givers of the world do what they do best, so we can spread the love and service even further. My intention was to create a team that would be more like a family in the ways we'd support one another and the degree to which we share what's important in our lives. I planned to give much more than money to my team - healing, training, information and little-known news about our world, spiritual understandings and love. Together we'd bless one another and our world as a whole.
4. I love the vision of a society based on empowered, caring, participating citizens who co-create the world we desire for ourselves and our children (and their children) from the ground up. That vision is going to be built on a different, post-capitalist type of economy. It has to, since what we’ve had for the past few hundred years is no longer working, and never will again, for vast numbers of people. It’s also wiping out the resources of the planet we depend on.
I’m convinced that part of the basis of the new economy will be gifting. It’s the logical extension of reversing our overblown focus on getting - and taking, as is the case with some of the most wealthy in our society - and competition for (supposedly) scarce wealth. It's also how we'll restore the natural balance of giving and regiving I mentioned earlier. By participating in a gifting program I’d be “getting in on the ground floor” of the new paradigm, and that’s the only “pre-launch opportunity” I’m really interested in. Truth be told, the gifting method of exchange has been practiced around the world, including in many indigenous societies, for hundreds or thousands of years.
5. Last, but not least by a long shot, I love knowing that we live in an abundant universe, that the scarcity of any form of energy is an illusion, and that when enough of really really grasp that truth in our bones and hearts, we can eliminate poverty in the entire world, which means also eliminating war, injustice, intolerance, fear and the other things that stand in the way of a world-wide renaissance of culture, creativity and service. Gifting helps establish the truth of abundance and gives more and more regular people the resources they - WE - can use to spread our New Earth-oriented ideas, organizations and service even further.
In case you're a "nuts and bolts" type of person, I can also tell you that gifting has lots of advantages over business, which made sense to me -
There are no qualifiers, requirements or monthly payments of any kind. No continual purchases, no consequences for not buying more and more. Remember, this isn't a business we're talking about; it's a GIFTING PROGRAM, and all gifts are voluntary. You don't have to stockpile products you're not going to use or create more garbage for our over-taxed Earth to absorb. Our "product" is our community and the services it provides for its members and we literally give it away to anyone who wants it while making cash gifts to those who have gifted it to us.
You can generate up to VERY large amounts of cash quickly. You receive most (and sometimes all) of the gifts others give you, not a commission on someone else's profit. This simplifies the economy (at least a piece of it) by making it a lot more direct and benefits people by letting them keep a bigger chunk of the value produced by the community.
Gifting can be done from home, even in your pajamas. So you get to see your children grow up and be there when they need you. You also get to take time to smell the flowers, walk in the woods, sit by a lake, as well as play music, dance, do a craft or other hobby, etc., etc.
There are no taxes to be paid on gifts up to the legal limit (currently $13,000 per gift received from a single individual). That’s right - NO taxes. (I can show you proof of that in a video if you ask me.) And it’s all totally legal. Gifting programs have been around for a long time, and we follow certain guidelines to make sure they stay that way.
It doesn’t require you to sell stuff or deal with products in any way. Believe me, I’ve sold my share of products, but it always felt like a diversion from my real work and tied me down to specific brands when I wanted to be free to research, explore and change my mind in the interest of supporting my clients, friends and family. And have you noticed that most of the products sold through distributors tend to be overpriced? I don't know about you, but most people I meet who are looking to generate an income run screaming in the other direction when the word “sales” is mentioned. I literally breathed a sigh of relief when I no longer had to interest people in doing that. Our product is free - we GIVE it away, so no selling is involved.
Giving is the number one best way to generate a flow of energy that returns to you - as abundance - many times over. Here's a channeled quote to that effect:

Enter the The I AM Community
Having said all of the above, I'll also say that when I looked at existing gifting programs, they were not totally in alignment with my vision - I wanted the gifting to go even further, in terms of how we could bless one another and the larger community outside of our group. The programs I looked at (and got involved in) were not really set up to support that or all the other healing, empowerment and spiritual education I wanted my program to have. They also required people to make a gift (often a substantial one) as a requirement of membership. So I decided to create something new to expand the idea into something even more positive for our members and for the world.
I have since created my own program, a brand-new type of community, and it has some very unique features.
A new member has no obligation to gift (and no cost for membership); s/he only makes a gift if and when they wish to sponsor someone new into membership, and the gift may be any amount s/he chooses.
We make gifts (cash and other types) to service and philanthropic organizations as well as to one another.
We share means to develop abundance consciousness and heal the limiting beliefs we hold about money and other good.
We connect with our higher guidance about the right paths to follow for each of us to live our purpose and partake of the abundance in our universe.
We engage in spiritual masterminding, which means we share our visions, desires and intentions and energetically support one another in manifesting them.
And, perhaps most importantly, we consciously generate and radiate out to the world at large gratitude, abundance, healing, empowerment and love.

The first question I’ve answered above as it relates to ME and my values. Only YOU can answer it for yourself with YOUR reasons for doing whatever you choose to do based on YOUR values. Hopefully, if you're looking to generate cash and other good in your life, you’ll at least take the next step of learning more about the program so you can make an informed decision.
Once again, let me remind you that abundance is so much bigger than money. When you tap into that unlimited field, you'll find your life changing in many gratifying ways. Abundance means love, vital energy, inner power and the built-in success that is the heritage of every part of the natural world, including us. It's about whatever has purpose and value for you and may take the form of more loving relationships, more rewarding work, better health or a sense of Grace and Divine connection in your life. When you're in the STATE of abundance you'll find money showing up practically as a side effect!
As for the second question…
Any journey requires both a power source and a vehicle - like fuel and a car. Our community offers both. The power source is the mind- and heart-set we help you create through all our powerful and empowering tools and teachings. The vehicle is the structured gifting program (or whatever vehicle you choose to apply your power to - like a new or existing business).
Our vehicle, structured cash gifting, is a particularly easy and enjoyable one to "drive". I've made this program so appealing and enticing that just about anyone would be thrilled to receive it as a gift! I also noticed today, in my "Yes!" process notebook that my entries have become more and more positive. Very cool. In general I feel happier and more peaceful than I have in a long time. My trust in the Universe, myself and my intuition has increased ten-fold.
